Shaped in places through chasing and repoussé for depth, the sheet was oxidized with vinegar and left to rest for weeks, until pink, and blue and rust patinas rose to the surface. Some of these were kept, color was added where needed, and a grid was engraved back to the bare brass. The drawing is precise, the patina wild, and a clear lacquer holds the moment in place.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003eThe piece draws on the former industrial area around Judith Haas' Brooklyn studio, where fences and façades are slowly being reclaimed by plants and rust. It imagines a city that lets nature return, with green corridors running through the grid we built.
